Wikipedia deleted page recovery services determine why a page was deleted, then pursue the matching route: an undeletion request, deletion review, recovery to draft space or a rebuilt, better-sourced article. Outcomes are decided by Wikipedia administrators and editors, so no agency can guarantee restoration.

Pages are deleted in different ways. Some are removed after a discussion, some by an administrator under a speedy criterion and some by proposed deletion with no objection. Each has a different appeal path.
We start by reading the deletion log and any discussion, because the reason determines whether to ask for restoration, request a review or start again with new sources.
What our deleted page recovery services include
- Review of the deletion log, discussion and page history
- Diagnosis of the reason and the policy cited
- An undeletion or draft-recovery request where appropriate
- Deletion review preparation where the process was flawed
- A rebuilt draft with stronger independent sources
- Support for pages deleted within the covered period in Standard and Premium packages
How the process works
- Investigate. We establish how and why the page was deleted.
- Choose a route. Undeletion, review, draft or rebuild.
- Prepare. We assemble sources and write the request or draft.
- Submit. We file under disclosure and follow the discussion.
Who this service is for
- Owners whose page was deleted after a discussion
- Pages removed as promotional
- Pages deleted through proposed deletion
- Subjects with new coverage since deletion
Policies we follow
We respect deletion decisions and use only sanctioned appeal channels. We do not recreate deleted content to evade a decision, which can lead to blocks. Read our guides on how to create a Wikipedia page and how to update Wikipedia pages for the rules in detail.
Timeline and pricing
Standard packages include restoration if the page is deleted within 6 months and Premium within 12. Other recovery work is quoted on request.
How Wikipedia pages get deleted
Understanding recovery starts with understanding deletion. English Wikipedia has several routes, and each leaves a different trail. Speedy deletion lets an administrator remove a page immediately when it clearly falls within a defined criterion, such as unambiguous promotion, a copyright violation, or no indication of why the subject is significant. Proposed deletion, often called PROD, is a notice placed on a page; if no one objects within a week, an administrator may delete it. Articles for deletion is a public discussion lasting about a week, after which an administrator closes the debate according to consensus.
The route matters because the way back differs. A page deleted by PROD can usually be restored on request, because the deletion was uncontested. A page deleted after a full discussion can only be restored if the community agrees the decision was flawed or circumstances have changed. A speedy deletion for promotional tone often calls for a rewritten page rather than a restoration of the original.
Step one: find out exactly what happened
Every deletion is recorded in a public log with the name of the administrator, the date and a short reason. If there was a discussion, the discussion page remains available. We read these records first, along with a copy of the deleted text where we are permitted to view it.
We also look at the page’s history before deletion: who created it, whether the author disclosed a connection, how many sources it had and whether there were prior warnings or tags. This tells us whether the root cause was notability, tone, copyright, sourcing or something procedural.
The routes to recovery
Request for undeletion. If a page was deleted by PROD or if the deleting administrator agrees the reason no longer applies, a request can be made to restore it. This works best when the objection was minor or has been resolved.Restoration to draft. For pages deleted because they were not yet ready, an administrator may restore the content into draft space so that it can be improved and resubmitted through review. This is often the most realistic option.Deletion review. If the deletion process was flawed, if the closing administrator misjudged consensus or if significant new information has emerged, the decision can be reviewed in a community discussion. Success depends on a well-argued case, not repetition of the original arguments.Rebuilding. Where the original page could not satisfy notability or tone requirements, the best path is a new, properly sourced article. A rebuilt article must not simply repeat the deleted text. What we do for each route
For undeletion, we prepare a short, factual request explaining why the objection no longer applies and linking to supporting sources. For restoration to draft, we use the recovered text as a starting point, remove promotional language and add independent references. For deletion review, we compile the case: policy citations, the sources available and a clear explanation of the alleged error. For rebuilding, we run a fresh notability assessment and write a new draft from independent sources.
Why deleted pages should not be re-posted
Re-creating a page that was deleted after discussion, without addressing the reasons, is treated as disruptive. The new page can be deleted quickly under a specific criterion for re-created material, and repeat attempts can lead to the account being blocked. Using a different account to try again is even more serious and is prohibited.
If you have tried this, tell us. We will not judge, but we need to know what has happened to assess the best way forward.
Realistic expectations
Recovery is possible in many cases, but not all. Pages deleted because a subject does not have independent coverage cannot be restored by argument alone. They need new evidence. Pages deleted for promotion can often be rebuilt well. Pages deleted for copyright reasons require rewriting from scratch. No agency can guarantee a restoration, and anyone who does is overpromising.
What we can promise is a clear diagnosis, a recommendation based on the rules and honest communication throughout.
How our packages protect you
Our Standard creation package includes page restoration support if your page is deleted within six months of publication. Premium extends that to twelve months. In practice, this means we will investigate the deletion, prepare the case and pursue the appropriate route at no additional cost, within the limits described above. For pages created elsewhere, or outside those windows, we quote on request.
Preventing a second deletion
If a page is restored or rebuilt, we make sure the causes of the original deletion are addressed. We strengthen sources, neutralise the language, document notability on the talk page and arrange monitoring so that any renewed challenge is answered quickly. A second deletion is much harder to reverse than the first.
Start with a deletion review of your case
Send us the page title, the date of deletion and any notice you received through the quote form above, or book a free consultation. We will review the log and discussion and explain your options. See also our deleted article recovery services, notability assessment and page creation services.
In-depth answers about deleted page recovery
How quickly can a page be recovered? If the deleting administrator agrees, a request can be handled within days. Deletion review takes about a week of discussion. A rebuilt draft takes as long as a new creation project, typically a few weeks. Can I recover the page I wrote but never published? Drafts that were deleted for inactivity can sometimes be restored upon request. Administrators often agree if there is a plausible plan to improve them. What if my page was deleted for copyright reasons? The text cannot be restored. A new article must be written from scratch, without copying from the deleted version or the source. What if my account was blocked? A block must be resolved first through the appeals process. We cannot help circumvent a block, and attempting to would make matters worse.Do you recover pages in other languages? Procedures differ by edition. We can advise for editions where we have experience. Can a deleted page’s content be used elsewhere? Content originally licensed under Wikipedia’s licence may be reused with attribution, but deleted content that violated copyright cannot.Mistakes that make recovery harder
- Re-creating the page under a different title or account.
- Arguing in a discussion without addressing the sources.
- Asking friends or staff to post supportive comments, which can be seen as canvassing.
- Making legal threats, which lead to blocks.
- Appearing to hide a paid relationship.
- Submitting repeated requests with no new evidence.
Avoiding these gives any recovery attempt the best chance.
A decision framework
If the reason was lack of notability and no new coverage exists: wait or build coverage. If the reason was lack of notability and new coverage exists: rebuild or seek review. If the reason was promotion: restore to draft and rewrite. If the reason was copyright: start again. If the process was flawed: deletion review. If it was deleted via PROD: request undeletion. This simple framework captures most cases, and our review identifies which applies to you.
What recovery protects you from
A deleted page that is not addressed can leave a gap in your public record. Search engines may still show cached versions, other sites may link to an empty title and journalists may assume you have no page. Recovery is about restoring that presence legitimately. It is also about learning from the deletion: the same sources and structure that failed once will fail again. By treating the deletion as information, we use it to build a stronger page.
