Wikipedia page updating services add new, verifiable information to an existing page, such as milestones, role changes or financial results, and remove outdated statements, using independent citations and paid-editing disclosure. Wikiagency LTD handles research, drafting and editor discussion.
Last updated October 2026 by the Wikiagency LTD editorial team.
A Wikipedia page that stops being updated slowly becomes wrong, and readers, journalists and AI assistants quote the old version. Updates are therefore less about vanity than about accuracy.
Each update needs a source that someone other than you published. We look for that coverage first, then write the change in a neutral voice that matches the rest of the article.
What our page updating services include

Policies we follow
Updates are limited to what reliable sources support. We do not add self-published claims, and we disclose our paid role in line with Wikipedia’s terms of use. Read our guides on how to create a Wikipedia page and how to update Wikipedia pages for the rules in detail.
Timeline and pricing
Cost depends on how many facts need updating and how much sourcing is required. Ask for a free quote and we will confirm in writing.
Why updates matter more than most owners expect
A Wikipedia page is often the first result a person sees when searching for a name or a company. It is also widely used by journalists for background, by investors and partners for due diligence and by automated systems that build knowledge panels and summaries. When the page is out of date, the cost is not abstract: a former job title is repeated in a news article, an old headquarters appears in a directory or a chatbot gives an inaccurate summary.
Updating is therefore a reputation task as much as an editorial one, but it can only be done within Wikipedia’s rules. The rules are not designed to make subjects look good. They are designed to ensure that what the page says is supported by independent reporting.
That distinction shapes everything we do. We do not ask what you would like the page to say. We ask what independent sources now say, and then we work out how to reflect that accurately.
What kinds of change can be added
Career and leadership changes. New appointments, departures and promotions can be added when covered by independent sources such as news articles or industry publications.Awards and recognition. Significant, independently reported awards belong on a page, although minor or self-nominated awards may be removed.Business developments. Acquisitions, mergers, expansions, closures and major product launches can be recorded with citations from independent coverage.Publications and creative work. New books, albums, films or research can be added, particularly when reviewed or cited.Corrections. Wrong or outdated statements can be corrected with a source that shows the right information.Structural updates. Infobox values, categories, images and the lead can be refreshed so that they agree with new content. What cannot be added
Some updates are not appropriate. Announcements published only by the subject, such as a company news post, are primary sources. They may be acceptable for simple facts in some contexts, but they are weak for claims of significance. Forward-looking statements, such as planned launches or targets, are generally not suitable because they are not yet facts. Promotional descriptions, customer testimonials and marketing metrics do not belong on an encyclopedia page.
We will tell you honestly when a requested update falls into one of these categories and suggest alternatives, such as waiting for independent coverage.
Our update process
We begin with a short brief from you listing what has changed. We then read the page, check its history and search for independent coverage of each change. Where coverage is available, we draft the new wording in the same neutral style as the page. Depending on the situation, we either edit directly with disclosure or place an edit request on the talk page for an independent editor to review.
After the update is live, we check it again after a few days and note any response from other editors. If someone has questioned a source or wording, we respond with a policy-based explanation.
Keeping references healthy
Updating is also about the references already on the page. Over time, links stop working, publications reorganise their websites and some pages are paywalled. We repair these by locating the current URL or an archived copy and adding the details required for a complete citation: author, title, publication, date and access date where appropriate.
Strong references protect a page from cleanup tags and deletion nominations. They also help readers and machine systems verify what the page says.
How often should you update
There is no fixed schedule. A sensible approach is to review the page whenever something significant has been reported about the subject, and at least twice a year for active organisations. For individuals with public careers, a review after each major role change, publication or award is usually enough.
Many of our clients combine updates with monitoring, so that changes by other editors are caught early and our own updates remain consistent over time.
Updating a page you did not create
We frequently update pages that were created by other agencies, by in-house teams or by volunteers. The process begins with a health check: we look for tags, missing citations, tone problems and any unresolved talk-page discussions. Often the best first step is a combined clean-up and update, because new information is easier to add to a page that is already in good shape.
Cost and next steps
Pricing depends on the number of changes, the size of the page and the amount of source research required. We provide a written scope before starting. Send your page link and the changes you want through the quote form above, or book a free consultation.
