Writing for Wikipedia is a different craft from marketing or journalism. There is no persuasion, no superlatives and no claim that a reader cannot check.
Our writers learn the subject from independent sources, build a clear lead and sections, and keep tone consistent so reviewers see an article, not an advertisement.

Policies we follow
We never copy text from your website or other sources, we cite independent publications and we disclose paid editing. A draft can be well written and still fail if coverage is missing. Read our guides on how to create a Wikipedia page and how to update Wikipedia pages for the rules in detail.
Timeline and pricing
Writing is part of our creation packages from $599. Standalone drafting is quoted on request.
Writing for Wikipedia is a distinct craft
People who write well in other fields often struggle on Wikipedia. Marketing copywriters aim to persuade, journalists aim to inform and engage, academics aim to argue a position. A Wikipedia article does none of these. Its job is to summarise what reliable sources say about a subject, in proportion to their coverage, in plain language that avoids taking sides.
This is called writing from a neutral point of view. It does not mean being bland. It means that facts are stated as facts, opinions are attributed to those who hold them and significant viewpoints are represented in proportion to how widely they are held. The writer’s own enthusiasm has no place in the text.
The style rules that decide a draft’s fate
Avoid peacock terms. Words such as “leading”, “renowned”, “innovative” and “world-class” are removed unless a source uses them and they are attributed.Use plain, past or present tense consistently. The article describes; it does not announce.Attribute opinions. Instead of “the company has the best service”, an article might say that a named publication rated the service highly, with a citation.Avoid first and second person. No “we”, “our” or “you”.Prefer specifics. Dates, places, names and figures with sources beat vague statements.Write the lead last. The opening section summarises the body, so it works best after the body is written.Structure of a typical article
Articles follow patterns that readers expect. A biography usually opens with a one-sentence definition (name, dates, occupation, nationality), followed by a lead summary, then sections such as early life, career, recognition and personal life where relevant and sourced. A company article often has history, products and services, organisation and leadership, and recognition. A creative work has plot or content, production, reception and legacy.
We study several well-regarded articles in the same category before drafting, and align our structure with theirs. This does not make articles identical; it makes them familiar to reviewers who have seen thousands.
Citing every claim
Wikipedia asks for inline citations for material that is likely to be challenged and for all direct quotations and statements about living people. In practice, editors expect a reference after most paragraphs and after any statistic, date or contested statement. We cite using standard templates that capture author, title, publication, date and URL, and we prefer archived copies where links are likely to disappear.
We also choose references carefully. Each statement is matched to the source that best supports it, not the source that is easiest to find.
Balancing coverage
A neutral article reflects the balance of independent coverage. If a subject has received significant praise and a notable controversy, both belong. If coverage of a controversy is much larger than coverage of achievements, the proportion in the article will reflect that. Clients sometimes ask us to omit negative material that is reliably sourced. We cannot, because omission would breach neutrality and invite other editors to restore it.
What we can do is make sure the article is accurate, current and proportionate, and that later developments, such as resolution of a dispute, are also represented where independent sources report them.
How we work with you on the draft
You supply background and links; we do the research and writing. We share the draft for you to check facts, correct errors and flag anything that has changed. We resist requests to add promotional detail, and we explain why. If you disagree with a choice, we discuss it, because a draft that you can stand behind and that reviewers will accept is the shared goal.
Standard and Premium packages include revision rounds, so changes after your review are built in.
Why drafts from other sources fail
Drafts from AI tools, generic freelancers and in-house teams are often declined for similar reasons: invented or unverifiable references, promotional wording, copied text and sources that are not independent. Some automated tools produce plausible citations that do not exist, which is treated as a serious problem on Wikipedia. We verify every reference ourselves and test that it supports the statement it is attached to.
